SO… HOW DID WE START?

At Admit Bros, we believe that effective SAT prep doesn’t have to be complicated, expensive, or confusing. Our journey started over 10 years ago, back when we were high school students, just like you.
We tried nearly every SAT program out there. The tutors were smart and well-meaning, but something was missing. The lessons didn’t feel practical. Instead of helping us understand how we should approach the test, they mostly showed us how they would do it. That might work for them, but it didn’t help us build the skills we actually needed on test day.
So, we decided to figure it out ourselves.
We took the old 2400 SAT, the 1600 paper version, and the new digital SAT. We realized that even though the format changed, the core ideas and question types stayed remarkably consistent. Through trial, error, and a lot of late-night studying, we cracked the code.
While in college, we began tutoring part-time, visiting students’ homes and helping them improve, one lesson at a time. Word spread quickly. As our student base grew, we made the decision to go all in. We started Admit Bros to share the strategies that worked for us—and for hundreds of students since. We even wrote and self-published our own SAT prep book to make our approach more accessible.
Our goal is simple:
We want students to be equipped, not overwhelmed. We want them to gain real skills, not just memorize tricks. And we want every student to feel confident walking into test day.
Here's what we focus on:
- Mastering the essential concepts that actually show up on the SAT. (Trust us: it’s more manageable than it seems.)
- Recognizing the types of questions the test likes to ask.
- Developing a clear, effective thought process even under pressure and time limits.
- Using the right strategies for each kind of question, not a one-size-fits-all approach.
Yes, the old advice still matters: strong reading habits and solid math fundamentals help a lot. But realistically, most students only get serious about the SAT a few months before the test—and that’s okay. That’s exactly why we’re here.
We’re not here to sell hype or empty promises. We’re here to help students study smarter, not longer, and to give them the tools they need to reach their goals.
Let’s get to work.
